A client has an opportunity for a CAD Technician within the Highways team. The Highways team works closely with the other design disciplines and is co-located with these teams in this project office.

Responsibilities

Acting as a CAD Technician within the Highways team with responsibility for meeting project CAD standards and liaising with other discipline’s CAD Technicians

You would be expected to have confidence with communications with internal team members and other disciplines within the project

Candidate Requirements

Candidates should have achieved a minimum of an HNC in Civil Engineering or similar, be fully conversant with Micro Station V8 and/or XM and have the relevant experience in a UK highway environment

Good time management skills

• Able to take responsibility and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Able and flexible to work on projects within highway engineering, topography, fencing and infrastructure work streams
• Extensive CAD skills would include ability in and demonstrable recent experience in the application of Micro Station
• Experience in 3D highway design software packages particularly ‘Inroads’ would be a benefit but not essential
• Current experience of working as a Technician in an engineering design environment
• Proven success in contributing to a team oriented environment
• Able to quickly develop successful client relationships
• Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
