| Job Title: Land Surveyor |
| Description |
Our Client is looking for a Land Surveyor. The candidate must
be able to use and understand total stations with respect to traversing and
detailing. They must be able to operate the majority of the survey equipment
used within the company (Surveyors should have a general knowledge and
understanding of traditional methods/equipment). A surveyor is expected to be
able to gauge structures without assistance. They must be able to understand and
interpolate job specifications.
The candidate will be assisting the Senior Land Surveyor
in carrying out his duties. These duties include:

Training and assessing members of staff
-
Calibration and QC of survey equipment
-
Collate and process information gathered from site
-
Survey Quality Control for their own and their teams work
-
Condition of the vehicles used
-
Processing their own surveys
-
Assisting the Senior Survey Engineer with training and
development of Junior members of staff
The ideal candidate will:
-
Be proficient in control installation, traversing and
detailing
-
Have the ability to use their own initiative
-
Have the ability to train junior members of staff
-
Have knowledge and understanding of Quality Checks needed
for the accuracy
-
within the Railway Industry
-
Be familiar with Leica instruments and field coding systems
-
Have experience of survey data processing
-
Be proficient in the use of processing software packages:
N4CE, STARNET,

LSS, Leica Geo Office |
